Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare patients for the provider.
Interview patients to obtain medical information, measure vital signs, weight and height Obtain medication information (name, dosage and duration) Review and Record patients' medical history, vital statistics and information such as test results in medical records.
Prepare patient for any physical exams (gown, drape, procedure) Assist provider with procedures (removing sutures, ear irrigation, administer injections, etc) Provide patient education at provider's request.
Collect blood and urine laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing.
Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets and physicians' instructions to patients.
Ensure accuracy of medications provided to patients.
Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
Scheduling patient appointments Administering medication directed by the physician Ensure all HEDIS measures are completed Administer COVID Testing Administer vaccines Log fridge and freezer temperatures for vaccines daily, uploading temperature readings weekly to Florida Shots.
